night of the doughboys

here's what a secret show should be; midnight, on a weeknight, at a venue way up high on st. laurent. the old foufs bouncer, and barry at the door, who doesn't even look at the list, but welcomes you by whether he saw your face around bifteck a gazillion years ago. no tickets, no fees, no posters, no facebooks, no nothing, just a rumor amongst old friends. a room filled with faces from the old rock and punk scene which made this city awesome in the first place. everyone wayy over 30, and not a hipster in sight.

doughboys, you should reunite more often! great rocknroll, great to see people! great night!
